Biography:

Pauline is the Cambridge-Africa Programme Manager at the University of Cambridge and was instrumental in the launching of this  Wellcome Trust-Cambridge Centre for Global Health Research where her  focuss is on nurturing research and collaborations  with African institutions. These Programmes are a key element in the University of Cambridge's international strategy, and Pauline overseas an  existing programme portfolio which includes  THRiVE, CAPREx and MUII initiatives, the Alborada Research Fund. Ghanaian in origin, Pauline completed her BSc honours degree in agriculture at the University of Ghana, Legon. She then moved to the University of Cambridge to study for her MPhil and PhD degrees in biological sciences (at Pembroke and Churchill Colleges, respectively). This was followed by three and a half years of post-doctoral research at the Department of Plant Sciences in Cambridge.
