University of MakerereMakerere University has a long term relationship with this Centre's partner project Cambridge-Africa. Professor Nelson Sewankambo, Principal of The College of Health Science is a member of the Steering Committee of the Centre for Global Health Research. Makerere University collaborates with Cambridge on numerous projects notably MUII, Thrive and Caprex, all highlighted on the link below.



The Cambridge Centre for Global Health Research is funded by the Wellcome Trust. In close collaboration with The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, it supports researchers working in public health and tropical medicine to develop their careers, and foster interchange between institutions in the UK and those based in low- and middle-income countries.
