The Centre for Global Health Research builds on the collaborative research conducted by the Cambridge-Africa programme.

Many of the collaborating institutions of the Centre are in Africa. More recently our activities have expanded to include research institutions from other parts of the world. More details of  the Centre's collaborating institutions are highlighted under Programme Areas. A small sample of our collaborative partners and  projects are featured below.

This  Centre is funded by the Wellcome Trust. In close collaboration with The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, it supports researchers working in public health and tropical medicine to develop their careers, and foster interchange between institutions in the UK and those based in low- and middle-income countries.
