Vision

The Wellcome Trust- Cambridge Centre for Global Heath Research promotes research excellence to meet global health challenges, by supporting researchers and research institutions in low and middle income countries, through equitable collaborations and partnerships. 

The Centre trains and supports the best Scientists wishing to pursue a career in global health research and will work with international partners to provide institutional capacity when requested. This is fully aligned with the mission of the University of Cambridge, “To contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence.”

This  Centre is funded by the Wellcome Trust. In close collaboration with The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, it supports researchers working in public health and tropical medicine to develop their careers, and foster interchange between institutions in the UK and those based in low- and middle-income countries.
